Shredding

Sorry for the lack of updates. September and October this year has been especially busy. I wasn't expecting to get knocked down as hard as I have been.

Shred guitar can be fun if it's appropriate. Many times it's not. I'll be honest, I'm more annoyed by shredders than not. Nine times out of ten, it happens when we, as all guitarists of all levels, walk into Guitar Center and see some dude in the corner playing as fast as he can. It's hard not to be annoyed. It's why your truly still feels like a chump when he walks into there. When a guitar solo is appropriate in the context of a song however, it's massively awesome. Well, today I released a song which I felt was a perfect chance for some shredding, Eddie Van Halen style. Since this is a guitar blog, why not?

Plus, there's a bonus track too. Forgive the awful singing. I don't feel so comfy singing Sammy Hagar style.

Introducing Song Monday

I have decided that my work in music will now take a huge shift. For the past three years, my focus has been to give the most spectacular guitar lessons in Austin. I will still continue to do that, of course. However, the time has come for me to share the songs and music I have created. The best way I could see to do this is Song Monday.

The idea is this: For the next two years, I will release a song a week every Monday. These songs will be freely available, and downloadable. Where will this be done? Here:
