When one of Pete Zab's photos was posted illegally at the UK publication The Independent, he got a bit upset. This post on his Flickr page is really interesting and inspiring to read. No doubt that the internet makes things a little bit hairy when it comes to copyright issues. But this article is a fantastic read about how to bully a huge newspaper into paying you if they seem to think it's cool for your photo to appear in their publication without, oh say, paying you.
