Barre chords are hard to learn. The good news is that once a person can play them, they double if not triple the amount of songs they can play. Guitar is a lovely instrument with the variety of possibilities available to approach it. Barre chords are no different.The following is a way to make learning barre chords easier.
The Hack:
Find or buy a capo, and put it on any fret on the guitar below the 7th. Doing this will make the strings closer to the fretboard. Now try fingering the barre chord. As a result of using a capo you now have to use less force with the smaller muscles of the hand. Using a capo at first makes it just a tad easier to wade into learning barre chords. Enjoy!
